About MIST Mavirov

MIST Mavirov is a student-led team of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), dedicated to creating and advancing Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), with a vision to explore the unexplored.

Our mission is to design and develop innovative underwater and aerial drone technologies that address Bangladesh’s national needs in research, industrial inspection, and environmental monitoring. Beyond solving immediate technical challenges, MIST Mavirov is committed to contributing to the country’s broader vision of technological independence and supporting the economic development goals of Bangladesh. At the same time, we recognize the importance of global responsibility. That is why our initiatives are carefully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as sustainable industry, climate action, responsible innovation, and protecting life below water.

Through innovation, collaboration, and a spirit of exploration, MIST Mavirov strives to empower the next generation of engineers while creating solutions that benefit both Bangladesh and the global community. One of MIST Mavirov’s core ambitions is to elevate the image of Bangladesh in the international arena of aerial and underwater drone innovation. By participating in global competitions and technology challenges, we aim to demonstrate the creativity, technical excellence, and problem-solving capabilities of Bangladeshi youth. Success in such competitions will inspire confidence among international partners, attract collaboration opportunities, and position Bangladesh as an emerging leader in the field of marine and aerial robotics.

Through sponsorship and support, MIST Mavirov seeks to carry the flag of Bangladesh onto the global stage—showcasing our nation’s innovation capacity while motivating future generations to pursue STEM, research, and entrepreneurship.
